One of the major concerns in a social networking website is privacy. The makers of Facebook believe that by advertising the information of their users, they can earn a lot of money. They advertise by making a function that allows people to search for Facebook users and view their personal information as well as viewing their photos. In this case the average Facebook user feels that their privacy is being invaded.
The first solution is a revision of the amount of data that is visible to the public. With the help of research Facebook may come up with a fair way to make the user’s information publicly viewed but in the meantime making the users fell secure. Different information may have different response from the members for example their names and date of birth is not a big issue if it is viewed so the member will not feel a great penetration in their information. But if their behavior outside of school is being viewed then it may have a great impact on the user’s privacy.
Another solution is a simple check box that may be placed on privacy control tab that enables the Facebook users the freedom to hide what information that may bother them if it is viewed but the public. But a major disadvantage of this option is the fact that maybe all of the users may close all of their private information down. Hence, making the makers of Facebook might consider the fact that they are losing money because the lack of advertisement.

Facebook brings to the society many services that benefit them. The main audience of facebook is students of high schools and colleges. But there are also some cases where also business may benefit for this social networking website. Students are allowed students to share pictures and communicate with old friends and also making new friend in the process. Another good use of Facebook is the fact that it may help student learn from other people who are more experience
The major disadvantage that Facebook face is the concerns over privacy. The users of Facebook are surrounded by illusions of the fact that Facebook is indeed a private site. But in fact Facebook is a website that has little private protection of the member’s personal information and pictures. Facebook just opened a function that allows non-Facebook users to search different people’s account leaving their personal information exposed to the public.
Issues involving security become more apparent in Facebook. It is crystal clear that bullies are really taking advantage of this service to harass other members. Some individuals may post different pictures insulting different members which decrease stability in the social network. The result of this is the quitting of some members. This quitting also raises concerns of security and stability in Facebook.
It is very important for a member in face book to feel secured as he socializes with his friend without any interference with issues involving privacy and security. Solutions to these problems are a must to achieve the maximum comfort for their users. However it depends on the user. In some cases different users may have different views on the problem.

The IT system involved in face book involves three important components that run the website which are internet servers (ISP), browsers (views website), and http (hypertext transfer protocol). The internet is a large network which supports millions of computer link together in one system. This makes it easier for people to communicate with each other. The internet server provides business companies or individual people to be able to make their own service in the internet by using web browsers. web browsers is a software made by companies such as Microsoft and others make it available for a person sitting on his couch to view the services that is made by companies such as Facebook. The web browser sends a request to the ISP when the website name is written in the address. The request from the client to the ISP then gets accepted and data is sent to the web browser it is view electronically.

The development that is involved that made the internet much faster and beneficial for people is web browsers and processor speed. In the past there was a limit that really limited the access of the internet. This limit was the processor speed as the processors became much faster making lot more calculation than before. Therefore the amount of data that can be downloaded is much less than today. Web browsers today have been a major step thanks to again the processors, and also to better software design that made network website such as Facebook easy and beneficial to use.
The future of the internet looks bright not only processors are being faster each day, but the amount of people that uses it also find it more easier than before. The processors make the internet much faster making web browser to do faster downloads. As the internet gets faster the files due to technological improvements will also be smaller because of compression. This will also lead to more services such as high resolution video streaming. Possibly this is the next step for Facebook, high res video will be a major step for it. This portfolio addresses the issue of privacy; privacy is a very important social part of a human being. People need privacy to feel secured; people usually don’t want their private information to be viewed by anyone else. Usually if any private information is view by another unwanted person, the person that got his private information invaded would be angry, and at other cases will be embarrassed.
An example of this issue in society is the fact that recently Facebook opened the profiles to the public. Facebook, a worldwide popular social networking website, opened the door of privacy pictures and information to the world. Users of Facebook usually post different images and private images are going to be viewable to people using search engines for example, Google or yahoo. From July 2007 Facebook became from the 60th most visited website to the 7th. There is an estimate of 8.5 million uploaded photos and 34 million users.
